NBCC - UK Network

Realising the business benefits from Nigeria's economic growth agenda.

In July 2009, the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce in Lagos launched the NBCC-UK Network to provide a forum for the Nigerian business Diaspora in the UK.

It was a bold move prompted in part by President Yar'Adua's message to business and the Diaspora when he was in the UK and as a practical business contribution to the process of national rebranding.

As a business forum, the NBCC-UK Network focusses on the challenges facing businesses today in Nigeria and the UK. Its mission is to enable Nigerian based companies to have market access to business in the UK as well as providing the forum for both UK and Nigerian businesses to extend and expand their markets generally.

The NBCC-UK Network initiative currently provides:

on-line member services
a web portal within the NBCC website
trade missions and sectoral events
brokerage services
direct links to Federal and State government
a friendly, open and inclusive community of interest.
preferential access to Opportunity Nigeria™ events.

We are currently developing an online social business community, which will allow you to network and develop new contacts. It will also be launching a newsletter in the near future, keeping you up to date with all the latest news and views from the Chamber and its members.

As the country with the largest English speaking population, Nigeria is the continent's most progressive, forward thinking business friendly country and a nation that shares a steadfast vision of the future. It is a vision that will be realised through partnership with business and business partnerships.

Economic deregulation, a buoyant stock exchange and a strong, dynamic financial services sector, have stimulated the growth of Nigerian businesses. The UK has, traditionally, been the first international stop for Nigerian business. It is a route that NBCC-UK Network intends to see grow and prosper.
