The Secretariat of the Chamber is headed by the Director – General, Mr. Bunmi Oluyede. He is responsible for the day to day activities of the Chamber. He is assisted by the Senior Public Relations Manager and the Membership & Business Development Manager in the efficient implementation of the policies of the Chamber.

BRIEF RESUME OF MR. JAMES BUNMI OLUYEDE

An Economist and Administrator, Mr. Bunmi Oluyede holds a bachelor Degree in Economics B.Sc (Hons.) from the University of IIorin and Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Lagos State University.

He has attended various training programmes and workshops organized by Institutions such as Lagos Business School; National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and other institutions.

Mr. Oluyede has a total of 19 years working experience 15 of which have been with the Chamber. Starting his career with John Holt Ventures, Ilorin as Accountants Clerk, he later moved to Nigerian-Agricultural and Co-operative Bank Limited Kaduna as Investment Officer, and then to Pegasus Saving and Loans Limited (Mortgage Bankers) Lagos as an Operation Officer, before joining the Nigerian- British Chamber of Commerce as an Administration Officer in July 1994. He was promoted to the management cadre in 2002 and as Director General of the Chamber in 2008.

BRIEF RESUME OF MR. GODY AMADI

Mr. Gody Amadi graduated from the Polytechnic Calabar, (now Cross River State University of Technology) with HND in Business Administration at upper credit level and an MBA from the Lagos State University specializing in Marketing.

Mr. Gody Amadi had attended many workshops and programmes organized by institutions like the Lagos Business School and National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.

Mr. Amadi has a total of 19 years working experience as a graduate, nearly 15 of which had been spent at the Chamber.

Mr. Amadi started as a reporter with Nigeria’s Business magazine. By the time he left, the firm, he was an Assistant editor, and had reported on diverse issues, contributed to editorial comments and marketing of special reports.

Mr. Amadi was employed as the Chamber’s Public Relations Officer in 1994. He was charged with the responsibility of publicizing events of the Chamber, packaging of its publications, brand innovations and marketing of programmes. These were effectively done cumulating in his promotions to a manager in 2002 and a senior manager in 2008.

Mr. Amadi is computer literate, has strong interpersonal relationship skill, a lover of sports, an avid reader and is married with children.
