The Nigerian - British Chamber of Commerce
The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce is the foremost bilateral Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria. The Chamber is accredited under the NACCIMA/CIPE, Washington, D.C. USA accreditation programme. There are over 350 corporate members who are found in all sectors of the Nigerian economy. Our membership base range from the small and medium enterprises to large scale multinational corporations and government agencies. We organize workshops, business luncheons, seminars, trade fairs, trade mission, members' evening and other such activities that aid trade and investment.
The current president is Mr. Akinola Akintunde, a chartered accountant.
Main Objective
To promote exclusively bilateral business and investment activities between Nigerian and British private sectors
Other objectives which the NBCC was founded to achieve were:
- To maximize trade between Nigeria and Britain through a regular exchange of information among its members.
- To advise the governments of both countries on matters pertaining to bilateral trade relations.
- To advise the members of the Chamber on opportunities and problems, legislative and others, arising from the pursuit of trade between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
- To ensure effective policy advocacy through our membership of the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA)

Mission statement
The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce is a bilateral Chamber of Commerce committed to promoting improved trade and Investment between Nigerian and British Private Sector Operators to enhance the business of its members; for benefit of the Economy of both countries using the best economic diplomacy and information and communication technology.
Membership of NBCC
The Chamber has been blessed with energetic men of vision, talents and wisdom who have directed its affairs since its inception in 1977. Their efforts have earned the Chamber a steady and stable growth from about 20 founding members to about 350 corporate members today. They range from virtually the giant manufacturing and commercial enterprises in Nigeria, through medium size service companies to professional practicing firms interested in or involved with the Nigerian-British business activities.
